Amy DiMatteo (She/her)

Co-Owner/Director/Teacher

Amy is a lifelong dancer, educator, and choreographer who loves sharing the joy of movement with dancers of all ages. She trained at Scalzi School of Dance, earned her B.A. in Dance from UMass Amherst, trained on scholarship at Gus Giordano Dance Center in Chicago, and studied with renowned choreographers including Lynn Simonson, Sean Curran, Adrienne Hawkins and Jim Viera.

Amy has performed professionally with Impulse Dance Company and Five Flights Up (Adrienne Mincz), and her award-winning choreography has been recognized both locally and nationally. Many of her students have gone on to study dance at top programs across the country.

In addition to her dance career, Amy is a licensed Physical Therapist with over 26 years of experience, specializing in care for dancers, athletes and children with special needs. She is passionate about creating a supportive, inspiring environment where every student can grow in confidence, skill, and love for dance.

Laura Grundstrom (She/her)

Co-Owner/Director/Teacher

Laura has dedicated her adult life to teaching children in many capacities, blending her background in social work and dance with a passion for helping young people grow in strength, courage, and self-esteem. She earned her Social Work degree with a minor in Dance from Franklin Pierce College and began her career teaching in classrooms for children with Autism before moving into preschool education, where she introduced yoga as a creative and calming outlet.

A certified YogaKids teacher and trainer, Laura offers children’s yoga in preschools and studios, and has completed additional training in Circus Yoga, Stretch What Matters (Level 1), and prenatal yoga. She also holds a 200-hour yoga teaching certificate from Divine Play and teaches adult yoga.

Laura brings her love for movement into every dance and creative movement class she teaches, inspiring children to explore, express, and discover their own unique abilities. She can’t wait to be part of your child’s journey at Legacy Studios!

Ashley Ruperto (She/her)

Ashley is an alum of the Boston Conservatory, where she graduated with a BFA in Musical Theater. After graduating, she lived in New York City as an actor/singer/dancer for 8 years! She has performed in many musicals in theaters across the country including shows like, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Producers, 42nd Street, Xanadu, and The Will Rogers Follies. She has had the privilege of performing with The Boston Pops at Symphony Hall, as a soloist in the Leonard Bernstein Tribute show, and as a backup singer/dancer for Amanda Palmer. She has been teaching dancers, young and old, for many years and loves sharing her knowledge and experience with all of the students at Legacy Studios!

Lindsey "Lingo" Kelleher (they/them)

Mx. Lingo Kelleher (they/them/theirs) is a nonbinary dancer, choreographer, and visual artist. They are Acrobatic Arts certified and hold a BFA in Dance with a concentration in Choreography from Dean College. A self-proclaimed "swarm of excited bees", Lingo loves to spread their joy for dance, accessibility, and the arts wherever they go! They have been dancing for over 15 years and have a background in acrobatics, ballet, tap, jazz, modern (Horton technique), and contemporary.

While at Dean, Lingo choreographed and performed numerous pieces for an array of shows and performances in styles such as contemporary ballet, jazz, tap, ballet, and modern. 

As their thesis in their final year of their BFA program, Lingo was given the opportunity to create a choreographed work entitled Ever Yours, Vincent. Mentoring under Kristina Berger (Erick Hawkins Dance Company Principal Member) and Stephen Tracy-Ursprung MFA (Little Women, 2019, Principal Dancer), they conducted extensive research on the life and art of Vincent van Gogh; their choreography and writings combined primary sources with historical documents into an immersive exploration of how movement in one artistic medium could be transferred into other mediums. Other notable works Lingo has choreographed include RuminateHypnopompia, and Paranoia.”

Lisa Cauble

(She/her)

Lisa began dancing (at age 5) at the Peggy McGlone Dance Studio in Waltham, Ma which focused on Broadway styled tap, Bob Fosse jazz, and classical ballet. She danced her way through high school as dance captain in its well-known performance craze Dance Theatre; as well as the Waltham’s Varsity Show Choirs, competing regionally and nationally. Lisa now has had the pleasure of choreographing for show choirs around the Boston area. Following her passion of dance she attended Springfield College, double majoring in Dance and Rehabilitation Disability Studies. Upon graduation, in 2009 she followed her dreams to dance at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida where she also subbed at various dance studios. Lisa performs with the Reagle Music Theatre with credits in Music Man, A Little Bit of Ireland, and a “rockette” in the annual Christmas Spectacular. Since coming back “home” she has been teaching for over 10 years and enjoys seeing the children’s passion for dance grow. She has continued to study dance at various dance conventions such as the Dance Teacher Web conferences, and the DanceLife teacher conference. I am so excited to be back to this area and spreading my love of dance to everyone! 

Sarah Rioux (She/her)

Sarah is a dedicated and energetic dance instructor who is passionate about inspiring the next generation of dancers through movement, creativity, and confidence-building. With a lifelong love of dance, Sarah grew up training and competing at CT Dance Theatre and the Arts from the age of 2 through 18. She was also a four-year member—and two-year captain—of her high school dance team, and danced with the pre-professional tap company, Speaking in Taps. Sarah continued to pursue dance throughout college as a four-year member of the University of Connecticut Dance Team, where she honed her skills in performance, teamwork, and leadership. In 2022, she transitioned into teaching to share her experience and ignite a love for dance in young performers. As a teacher, Sarah’s mission is to help her students grow not only as dancers but as confident, kind, and capable individuals. She creates a fun, supportive classroom environment where dancers of all levels feel empowered to express themselves and push their boundaries. Sarah has choreographed both recreational and competitive routines in Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Contemporary for dancers ages 6 to 18, and her choreography has received multiple awards at regional competitions. Outside the studio, Sarah works as a financial advisor, helping individuals and families plan for their futures. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones. inspiring the next generation of dancers through movement, creativity, and confidence-building.

Jenny Livolsi (She/her)

Jenny is from Maynard, MA and has been dancing for over 20 years. She studied Early Childhood Education and Performing Arts with a concentration in Dance at Stonehill College, where she was also a member of the Stoneworks Dance Company.

Over the past two years, Jenny has choreographed for Stoneworks and, for the past four years, has shared her love of dance by teaching children in a variety of styles. This fall, she will begin a new chapter as a Kindergarten teacher in Acton, MA, while continuing to inspire young dancers at Legacy Studios.

Jenny is excited to join the Legacy Studios family and looks forward to helping her students learn, grow, and have fun through the art of dance.

Emmi Small (She/her)

Emmi Small is a Boston-based contemporary dance artist. She holds a BFA in Dance and BS in Public Health from University of Massachusetts Amherst (2019). Emmi spent four years performing as a company dancer with Resilience Dance Company and Ballet 314, both of St. Louis, MO. She has also performed with St. Louis Dance Theatre, Newport Contemporary Ballet, and Emily Duggins Dance Project. She’s had the pleasure of performing in works by Shannon Gillen and Jason Cianciulli of VIM VIGOR, David Dorfman, Mike Esperanza, Annie Rigney, Kia Smith, Rosanna Tavarez, Miki Ohlsen, Danielle Genest, Victoria Lynn Awkward, and Cassie Wang. As a choreographer, Emmi has made work on Resilience Dance Company, the St. Louis Dance Theater trainees, as well as the pre-professional companies at Turning Pointe Academy of Dance and St. Louis Academy of Dance. Emmi has been a dance educator, as well as a certified STOTT Pilates instructor since 2019. Emmi’s students walk away from her class with a sound understanding of their anatomy, a drive to take up space, and artistic integrity.
